Welcome To Our Mosque's Web Site!

In the year 1420H/2000C with the blessing of Allah SWT, Masjid Taybah was inaugurated in the city of Leicester, UK. The mosque is used by brothers and sisters for prayers, to spread the Qur’an and Sunnah, teach the Arabic language to non-Arab speakers, for the solicitation of marriages (Nikah) contracts, and resolving marital conflicts. Ultimately our aim is to create an Islamic atmosphere to preserve the Muslims in this country, especially the younger generation.

The centre is recognised by the British Charity Commission and registered under Registration Number: 1091807. The centre is also licensed by Leicester City Council.

Qurbani 1435/2014

“It is neither the meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him”. (Quran 22:37)

The prophet Muhammad PBUH was asked “What is Qurbani?”, He answered, “It is the sunnah of your father Ibrahim (AS), for every hair of the Qurbani you will receive a reward from Allah and for every hair in the wool you will receive a reward” Ibn Maja & Tirmidhi

With ‘Eid-ul-Adha upon us, Qurbani is a highly blessed and virtuous act, with the number of sins forgiven equal to the number of hair on the body of the sacrificed animal.
Inshallah this year our Qurbani program will be performed in the highly poverty stricken areas of Syria, where our brothers and sisters probably only get to eat meat at Qurbani time.

The cost of small animal in Syria is £109.
